This old house still has some life in it – Tytler Public School to be potentially used as a satellite campus.

Standard

Continued enrolment pressures at UGDSB have prompted consideration of Tytler Public School being used as a satellite campus. This decision illustrates that Tytler Public School still has some life left. After being closed to move students to a new school Tytler remains in the heart of the Ward in more ways than one. Once the oldest school operating in Guelph it refuses to have its life support pulled. The board’s tendency to continue dipping into Tytler as a resource buys the school more time. As new developments in the area begin the longer Tyler lingers it could hopefully justify a full time reopening restoring it to the community hub it once was.
